There Is No God – Translated

There are many people that don’t believe God exists. Many more people aren’t quite sure and are adopting the attitude and message found in the photo above. There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.

I would like to help you decide the matter by translating the statement, “There’s probably no God”. Let’s make this statement a little more concrete by taking out the word probably so that it reads, “There is no God”. With the word probably kept in the statement you would not be able to make a solid decision for your life. There would always be a doubt in your mind and you would not be able to stop worrying and truly enjoy your life.

The second thing that I would like to do is to find out what or who God is and the best way to find out this is to refer to an authoritative source. The source that I propose is God’s own word, the Bible. You may argue that what is written in the Bible is not God’s word , rather it is man’s word. Even if that is your attitude, I can work with that since the Bible is written by men who wrote about God.

I am going to take verses out of the Bible that tell us who God is from the New International version and I encourage you to read for yourself a few verses before and after the quoted text if not the whole chapter. By doing this, hopefully you will realize the context of the quoted texts.

Psalm 116: 5 says;

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.

We can substitute the words righteousness and compassion for God since God is righteous and compassionate. The original statement, “There is no God” is translated to “There is no righteousness”  and “There is no compassion”. If you think that there is no righteousness and no compassion in life and in this world then stop worrying and enjoy your life.

According to Daniel 9: 9;

The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him;

If you believe that there is no mercy or forgiveness in life then there is no God so stop worrying and enjoy your life.

In John 3: 33 it is written;

The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.

Since God is truth we can substitute the word truth into the original statement and it would read, “There is no truth”. If you find that there is no truth or truthfulness and that everything is a lie then there is no God. Stop worrying and enjoy life.

2nd Thessalonians 1: 6 says that;

God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you

If there is no such thing as justice in this world  then there is no God, stop worrying and enjoy your life.

I strongly recommend that you read the book of Job which is an extraordinary example of faith in God. Job 33: 12 reads;

But I tell you, in this you are not right, for God is greater than man.

Should you agree that there is nothing greater than man then clearly there is no God and you should enjoy your life since there is no one to be accountable to except yourself.

If there has been any doubt in your mind then there shouldn’t be any doubt after 1st John 4: 8;

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

If you do not love and there is no love, then “There’s no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life”.

So if there is no righteousness, no compassion, no mercy, no forgiveness, no truth, no justice, no love and there is nothing greater than humanity then there is no God and you can enjoy your life.

I for one know that there is love, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, truth, righteousness and justice. Looking out into the universe I see that our creator God has created many things that are far greater than me and I’m enjoying my life just fine with God in my life.
