For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world yet lose his life? We have an example to the answer of this question in Jesus when he was tempted by Satan. Jesus was offered all the kingdoms of this world, all he had to do was bow down to the evil one. Jesus answered; Worship the Lord your God, and serve only Him.
Did we take the bait? Did I turn my back on God by continually pursuing fame, fortune or power? Is serving God less of a priority because I’m concerned with the things of this world? It’s not too late to change your priorities or your ways. Turn around, face God and ask Him to lead you.
