James 1 verse 19 directs us on how to avoid conflict with others. The verse is telling us to gain understanding of people by listening to them. Once we understand the other person we can then speak and ask further questions to gain more understanding. We should almost never become angry because this doesn’t allow us to live righteously as God desires for us.
Yes I know, the theory sounds good but it’s not practical. That’s the other side trying to discourage you. Just try and aim for the ideal as James writes and ask for help from God. He really does miracles and assists us when we are helpless. May you reach this ideal and the many others that are found in the Bible.
