Once you come to know Christ and turn your life over to Him, you become a new creation. You slowly start to realize your own inadequacies and all the negative, sinful things in your life. You start to get rid of those things but you realize that you can’t do it on your own. You wish to become more like Jesus and you begin to rely more on Him each day. Your old sinful self dies and you’re born again. You have a new start, you’re a new creation.

This is my new desktop back ground. When I was saved in 2006 one of the first things I was given was a Thompsons Chain Reference Bible by my youngest brother and his family and when you open it this is the verse they wrote in the front. My brother wanted me to know that God has forgiven ALL my sins and I am a new creation. It has been hard to realize that this is true, that in His love all the bad is gone and I
am amazing to Him. This quote is a Bibical truth that I am starting to accept more each day. Thanks Dennis great pick and a great uplifter for all.

Praise our Lord! I’m always happy to hear stories of spiritual growth such as yours.

We have to acknowledge our sins, repent and ask for God’s forgiveness and for the forgiveness of those that we sinned against. This is many times a very humbling experience. People may not forgive but God always forgives no matter how bad our transgression was.

Just the other day I was reminded that only through a constant and firm reliance on the power of God, and a willingness to die to self, can we overcome the temptations that we face.
